I have loved dogs since childhood. What better way to try to make a living?
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We provide a homelike environment with lots of play and both dog and human interaction. We are the cleanest kennel I have ever seen and our customers agree.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We were spread too thin when we were open in both Sarasota and Nokomis. We decided to close our downtown operation and focus exclusively on our resort in the woods here in Nokomis where it is very private and peaceful...and the dogs simply love to be here!

From Exit 195 on I-75 go east 1/4 mile. Turn left (north) on Knights Trail at the red light and go 1.5 miles to Rustic Rd. Turn left (west) on Rustic for 1/2 mile. Turn left on dirt road at yellow "MUTT" sign. Follow the "MUTT" signs to our home.
What type of payments do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard or cash. Please note that we have no extra or hidden charges for things like walks, treats, playtime, giving medicine or special food. All those services are included in our base price.
Which areas do you service?
Mainly we serve Sarasota County but we also have regular customers who come from as far away as Miami to take advantage of our hurricane-proof building or because they really appreciate our caring service.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Charlotte Hickey is our owner. Debbie Short has been with us for almost 15 years. Jim helps as little as possible.
What are your hours of operation?
Monday thru Friday 7:00AM to 6:00PM. Saturday 7:00am to 11:00am. Closed Sundays.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
My dog loves to visit at your house.
What is your favorite quote or Bible verse?
It is better to give than to receive.
