Our primary service is offering personalized and intimate boat tours, including sunset cruises, dolphin watching, shelling and sharks’ tooth hunting, and custom charters for special occasions. With two comfortable boats, we provide unique experiences tailored to our customers, showcasing the beauty of Sarasota County’s waterways and hidden gems.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Captain Eric and Captain Jenn bring over 30 years of experience each on the water and a deep connection to Venice, Florida. Our passion for the water and love for this beautiful area inspired us to share it with others. We take pride in showcasing Sarasota County from the water, revealing its hidden gems and offering our customers a unique perspective of the place we’re lucky to call home.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We stand out by treating our customers like friends and family, offering a warm, personal touch in everything we do. Great Day Boat Tours was inspired by our own love of the water and the joy of sharing it with loved ones when they visited. Extending that same genuine hospitality to our customers creates a more intimate, customized experience that feels less like a tour and more like a day out with friends on the water.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We currently operate out of Venice, Florida, with access to the stunning waterways of Sarasota County, from Sarasota to Englewood. We currently offer to boats to charter with. While we’re focused on providing exceptional experiences from this location, we’re always open to exploring opportunities for expansion as our business grows and customer demand increases.

We run our business from the water. We work with our customers to find a pickup location convenient to them, whether it be at one of our public boat ramps or a private dock.

We accept Cash, Zelle, Venmo or Paypal
Which areas do you service?
We service all of Sarasota County.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Captain Jenn - Jennifer Ford runs the daily operations, but the business is run by both Captain Jenn and Captain Eric Cote
What are your hours of operation?
We run charters daily from 8am to 9pm and respond to phone calls, emails and text messages any time.

The best compliment anyone can give me is saying that their time with us was the highlight of their trip. Knowing that we’ve created a lasting memory, whether it’s a breathtaking sunset, spotting dolphins, or celebrating a special moment, means the world to me. It’s why I do what I do – to bring joy to others and share the beauty of our local waters.
